In the 2021 season, the Rochester University women’s soccer team showed much potential yet struggled to find a win. The 2022 season has now arrived, and the Warriors are off to a good start after posting a 4-1-1 record in the preseason.

The team has conceded only four goals with a total of four shutouts. The women defeated Grace Christian University 9-2, a team who previously beat them 3-1. RU also shut out Ohio Christian University 5-0; a team that previously defeated RU 3-0.

"This looks to be a special season for our team," said Jenna Shelton, head women's soccer coach. "The potential unlocked from the upperclassman combined with the competitiveness of the freshman is stellar. Everything is coming together quite quickly for our young team. We are looking for a promising start to the season."

The team's first WHAC conference match is an away game against Cleary University on Saturday, Sept. 24.
